| 19/3/05 | 11am | Casualties | Home | Won 3-0 | Despite dragging our best players out of the woodwork, we were well and truly thrashed by a sensational Casualties side which may be the most complete team ever seen in Nottingham . They were really good looking too. Dont believe any other rumours of us beating them soundly, including a particularly exciting 1st set which went to 36-34. Luckily for us, their most formidable weapon had to go off injured after unloading one too many big ones... |

Vandals | Won 3-2 | Arena had another outstanding victory on sunday over the 11 strong team of the vandals. Arena failed even to start playing in the first set so that one went Vandals way pretty quickly. The second was an all together different matter - a reshuffle of all the players produced a team that took the second a bit more convincinly. The third was a complete white wash with the Arena team dominating all of the play, power hitter Sharpey was back on form. At 2:1 to Arena we seemed to sit back a little and Vandals rallied to put us in a position were we had to fight hard to stay in the set, finally dragging the score back to 22:24 to them. This critical point was when Lee decided to throw the ball up the wall at the back of their side ?????????????????? Don't ask !!!!!!!! The final 5th set showed arena's real dominance again and a convincing last set finished them off. |
